Remember how I started a webcomic type project a while back? Thing is, I never got around to continuing it, got too caught up in how to go about it, you know style and such. Part of the project was actually to let the style develop as I went along.
Anyway, I finally did number 2. Pencils and digital color.
Never thought that'd be a title. For a sketch-o-daily, topic was 'inbred unicorn'. I had a ton of work to do for school, but this topic sounde like so much fun, I mean, it's genius :D
Started in Photoshop, finished in Painter. The turning point for me was when I put him in a jar. It was fun.
In other news, I have a student blog, you know, I study animation now at The Animation Workshop. I haven't talked much about it here, but last week's assignment went really well, so I thought I'd share it here.
It is, you know. This is for a Sketch-o-Daily over at sketchoholic.com. Topic is 'spiky', so naturally I thought 'hedgehog' or something like that. More like spiky rodent, really. The autumn-thing just kinda happened. I like it :D
School this week is about design. Very abstract though, to keep it simple. Simple as it is, though, it's hard to get right. Had a composition assignment today with 3 boxes and a line, and it had to be dynamic as well as keep 90 degree angles.
