A Few of My Favorite Works

This post is meant to be a part of a portfolio I put together when applying to a Danish school of animation, The Animation Workshop. Following is a list of links to different things like stories and some animation I've done. You might get a kick out of it, but it is meant for the people at the school.

The Shearmaster, fake advert.
3D short done 3-4 years ago for a contest. It is a better representation of my creativity than it is my ability to animate. Pay no attention to the monotonous nature of my voice.

About the Devil and Hell
Some prose poetry. Fun and somewhat satirical.

Shifting Faces.
A very short story. I tend to think of it as the idea for a longer story. The saddest thing I've written.

Death at the Diner.
A short story of the comedy genre. Death eats breakfast with Joe.

Death and Davey.
Another, longer, short story of the comedy genre. Death helps Davey with his date.

I've done more, but this is the cream of the crop, in my opinion.

Cheshire Cat Done

Done on time - feels great!

I'm particular fond of the little moustache thing he's got going on.

Cheers!

More Cheshire Cat

A little bit more. Having the worst time finding suitable colors. Pretty happy with the sketch so far, though :D

Hoping I'll find the time to finish it tomorrow. Been far too long since I've done this. Feeling good about it :D

Cheshire Cat WIP

Bobby Chiu is finally interviewing Kei Acedera and the challenge is to draw one's own version of the Cheshire Cat from Alice in Wonderland. Don't have as much time to work on it as I'd like, but I think I'll make it. Here's a wip:

I thought it would be fun if he was really huge :D

Lady Sketches

Little over a week ago I saw an episode of Sherlock Holmes, starring Jeremy Brett, and I think that influenced my Sunday night sketching last week. Something about the fashion back then...I was trying out a new way of drawing, laying the pencil on its side - big dresses and done-up hair was just so easy to draw that way.

Lots of fun to do. Tried to get some real flow of lines into my drawing.

Done And Done!

Both paintings got done and are now hanging in the mess hall of the school. The place I chose to hang them is perfect for them, kinda dark with warm lighting - it's just a little hard to find them, perhaps. Pretty difficult decision, actually, but I thought that it was better to hang them where they looked good instead of where they were most visible. They want to be seen, and I'm sure they will be. Now, pictures:

Boris on the cliff, yearning for apples:

Grégor on the job:

I take horrible pictures - the paintings look decent enough in real life :D

Painting Update

A couple more pictures.

I really think the background color compliments the picture quite well. This isn't actually the finished version, though - I added some stone pillars in the distance.

The second picture is of my second painting - started today. Needs a little somethin' somethin', I think. Might work on it a bit tonight actually.

In other news: I ate broccoli for the first time today. Yay me!!
