Did more drawing exercises today. Practiced drawing things with just circles and ovals and rectangles and triangles. Below are two of my favourite drawings of the day. A camel and a gorilla. The gorilla was the most fun - we got to sketch a lot of ideas first and then had to do a finished drawing. The gorilla was to be made out of wood, a Trojan gorilla, if you will. Love to do something with that character.
No drawing exercises tomorrow - Wednesdays around here are mostly about cleaning, having time off and stimulating the student's need for entertainment and mind-expanding input. Tomorrow, for instance, we'll have a rhythm workshop before noon and an acoustic 'concert' in the evening - four hours off in the afternoon.
